White and Grey Electric Kettle, 1.7L 2200W Cordless with 360° Base
This white and grey electric kettle holds 1.7 litres and heats with 2200W, so it boils quickly and makes enough water for a pot of tea or several mugs at once. It lifts off a 360° cordless rotating base, switches itself off when the water boils and has boil-dry protection that stops it heating when there is too little water inside.
A water level window in transparent grey shows how much is in the kettle, the wide top opening makes filling and cleaning easy, and the ergonomic handle and spout give a steady, controlled pour. The white and grey finish suits a home kitchen, an office or a staff room.

Fast boiling for everyday drinks
At 2200W this white and grey electric kettle is quick to the boil, which matters when you are making tea for the family in the morning or coffee for a meeting. Boil only the water you need: a mug of tea needs about 250ml, while a full 1.7 litres fills six or seven mugs or a large teapot. Boiling less water is quicker and uses less electricity.
The kettle is just as useful for hot chocolate, instant coffee, instant noodles, porridge oats, stock cubes and topping up a pan to save time on the hob.
Safety features
Automatic shut-off switches the kettle off once the water reaches boiling point, so it will not keep boiling if you are distracted. Boil-dry protection switches the heating off if the kettle is turned on with too little water, protecting both the kettle and your kitchen.
Always fill above the minimum and below the maximum mark, close the lid before switching on, and keep the cable and base away from the edge of the worktop and away from water. Lift the white and grey electric kettle off its base before filling it, never fill it while it is on the base.
The 360° cordless base
The power base stays plugged in on the worktop, and the kettle lifts straight off it with no cable attached. Because the base rotates through 360°, you can put the kettle back from any direction, which helps left-handed users and busy kitchens where the kettle is used from both sides.
Carry the kettle to the table, a mug or a teapot without the cable following you, and set it back down on the base when you are done.
Descaling and cleaning
In hard water areas, white limescale builds up inside a kettle over time. To remove it, half fill the white and grey electric kettle with equal parts water and white vinegar, or water with a sachet of citric acid descaler, bring it to the boil, leave it for an hour, then empty it and boil fresh water twice before using it again.
Wipe the outside with a soft damp cloth and dry it; never put the kettle or the base in water or under a running tap. Empty the kettle at the end of the day and leave the lid open so it dries out.
A white and grey electric kettle for home or office
In an office kitchen or staff room, a 1.7 litre kettle keeps up with tea rounds for a team, and the large capacity means fewer refills during a busy morning. At home, the fast boil and simple one-touch switch make it the appliance most people use several times a day.
Place it near a socket on a flat, dry, heat-resistant surface, away from cupboards above so steam does not damage them.
Making a better cup of tea
Use fresh cold water each time rather than reboiling water that has stood in the kettle, as freshly boiled water gives a brighter-tasting cup. For black tea, pour the water straight from the boil over the bag or leaves and brew for three to five minutes. For green tea, let the water stand for a few minutes after the white and grey electric kettle switches off, as boiling water makes green tea bitter.
Warm the teapot or mugs with a splash of hot water first, and the tea stays hot for longer.
Saving energy
Only boil what you need, using the water level markings as a guide, and switch the kettle on just before you want to use it rather than boiling and leaving it. Descale it regularly, because limescale on the element makes any kettle slower and less efficient. A 2200W white and grey electric kettle boils a single mug of water in moments, so there is no need to fill it to the top for one drink.
Why choose the white and grey colour
White with soft grey accents gives this kettle a light, clean look that suits white, cream and grey kitchens and Scandinavian-style interiors. The transparent grey water level window runs down the side, so you can see at a glance how much water is inside and when it is boiling.
Light colours make a small kitchen feel brighter, and white and grey matches most white toasters, microwaves and kitchen accessories.
