Buying a turkish coffee cups and saucers as a matched set is the practical part. Six cups with their saucers means you can serve a full table without reaching for odd mugs, and if one gets broken the set still works rather than being spoiled. Turkish coffee cups and saucers: Materials, Sizes and Features
The detailing on this turkish coffee cups and saucers is what makes it a gift rather than everyday crockery. A decorative finish reads as considered on a table, and looks the part when guests are being served rather than when you are drinking alone at the counter. Cups of this size suit tea, Turkish and Arabic coffee, and short strong servings rather than large mugs of instant.
Caring for Your Turkish coffee cups and saucers
Caring for a turkish coffee cups and saucers protects the finish. Hand wash decorated cups rather than putting them through a dishwasher, since detergent and prolonged heat dull decorative and metallic detailing far faster than washing by hand. Dry them soon after washing rather than leaving them to stand, and store them without stacking cups inside each other where the rims can chip.
Serving Tea and Coffee Well
A few small things get the most out of a turkish coffee cups and saucers. Warming the cups with hot water before pouring keeps a drink hot noticeably longer, particularly with fine-walled cups that lose heat quickly. Serving on the saucer rather than bare on the table is not just formality either, since it catches drips and gives somewhere for a spoon to rest. If you are serving several people, pouring in one round rather than one cup at a time keeps everyone drinking at the same temperature.
